Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Search terms entered into a partner tool go directly to the company that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies results. Sherman County Court Docket does not store or log those terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the correspondence. It is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal server logs may record technical information when a page loads:
- Device IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring website, when available
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics services help measure traffic, popular pages, and general use patterns. Browser controls can block cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operate the website and improve loading performance
- Route a search to the selected partner service
- Measure which information visitors use
- Diagnose errors and security issues
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Sherman County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. It publishes general directions to the Sherman County Clerk of the District Court, Kansas court portals, and municipal court channels. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports, and this resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate search boxes found on some pages. Their own privacy terms govern submitted data, retention, results, and sharing. Review the selected provider’s policy before entering a query because Sherman County Court Docket does not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Kansas Judicial Branch, Sherman County offices, the Clerk of the District Court, legal-aid resources, municipal courts, or commercial search services. The destination’s policy controls once a visitor leaves this website.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and tailor ads.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners processing a visitor’s chosen query
- Analytics vendors measuring site use and performance
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information under our control. No internet service can promise absolute security, so a breach or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information known to have been provided by a minor will be removed when identified.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Kansas consumer-protection law may provide rights concerning personal data held by a private website. The Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 through 45-223, governs qualifying public-agency records and does not convert this private resource into a public records custodian. Kansas Supreme Court Rules 20 through 25 and Rule 123 govern access and privacy for Kansas eCourt records, not visitor analytics stored here. Depending on applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request a copy of personal information held about them
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion of eligible personal data
- Opt out of certain processing where the law provides that choice
